The Best Breweries in North Lake Tahoe
Tahoe Mountain Brewing Company
Science and art come together at the Tahoe Mountain Brewing Company. They specialize in small-batch brews that are made with high-quality ingredients. The result is a beer that is both unique and tasty. Tahoe Mountain Brewing Company has two locations. The first is a brewery and taproom in Truckee. Here, you can try a wide variety of their beers, including some brews that might not be widely available. You can also pick up a growler to go if you’d prefer. The second location is on the shore of the lake in Tahoe City. This brewpub is a great family-friendly location, with indoor and outdoor seating, a fantastic view of the lake, and a menu of delicious food. The beer selection is still fantastic, and you’ll be able to enjoy your brew with delightful dishes like their banh mi sandwich or their pulled pork tacos.
FiftyFifty Brewing Company
FiftyFifty Brewing Company fully embraces what makes North Lake Tahoe so special. Their adventurous spirit and passion for excellence are showcased in their brews, which is why they’re featured in so many well-respected publications like Esquire Magazine and Beer Advocate. FiftyFifty is most well-known for Eclipse, an imperial stout that’s barrel-aged. It’s won countless awards and is considered a must for first-time visitors. Are you interested in trying their brews for yourself? Head to Truckee Pub & Pilot Brewery, which carries FiftyFifty, as well as other local beers. The pub features a menu of classic pub fare with an upscale twist, like chicken wings with a bourbon sauce.
