*Tahoe is a beautiful and fun place to visit, but occasionally this area can be affected by extreme weather events.  While we never want things like icy roads, road closures, or smoke from wildfires to negatively impact our guests, it can happen. We ask travelers to plan their vacation appropriately for the rural mountain climate and encourage guests to research all travel insurance options, as Tahoe Moon Properties cannot provide refunds for things outside of our control. 


This technical one bedroom is sneakily roomy, with a loft and secondary detached room. It is situated just 3 blocks from the lake and boasts partial lake views! PLUS, dogs are considered and the home has a private hot tub too.... What more could you want!

Starting with the open living area attached to the kitchen, this creates a comfortable common area great for socializing. The living room has a wonderfully designed river rock fireplace to enjoy a warming fire, a TV/ DVD, and very comfortable furniture for your relaxation. The adjacent kitchen is lively and bright, making for an inviting place to create your meals. The kitchen area offers a built in breakfast nook in addition to a dining table that will seat 6, as well as a breakfast bar.

There is one bedroom located inside the house itself with a King bed and a Single bed.  There is also an additional bedroom located in the private, detached unit directly behind the main house - we call this the Garden Room. Easily accessible by the  wooden walkways, this is a fun extension to this property.  All the beds are new.  This home has brand new hardwood floors, “peek” views of the lake, lake only 3 blocks away, and huge deck with gates!


-One full bath, with tub/shower, is shared in this household.
-This is a dog-friendly house but in order to bring a dog, you must pay a $70 dog fee per dog, 1 dog maximum.  If you bring a dog without paying the dog fee, you will be      subject to a fine and are in breach of contract which could result in being asked to leave the property.
-Please be considerate, this is a smoke free home.
-Important, this property does not have air conditioning.  Air conditioners are extremely unusual in North Lake Tahoe.

IMPORTANT:
On March 11th 2022, the county of Placer implemented a new Short Term Rental Ordinance which is very important for guests to abide by. Fines range from $1,500- 5,000 and can be issued to guests who are not in compliance. A full list of rules is attached as a photo in this listing. Some Highlights include:
   •Quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am. No noise shall be heard across property lines. No outdoor speakers or amplified sound are to be used at any time.
   •Dogs must be leashed at all times when outside of a property and all pet waste needs to be picked up.
   •Parking is limited to the following number of spaces: 2
 

POLICIES & DISCLOSURES
1. 2021 Update: Due to Extreme Fire Danger – The use of ANY outdoor firepit or fireplace is strictly prohibited at any of our rental properties. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our community safe from wildfires.
2.As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
3.By local laws we have to charge a 12% occupancy tax (10% TOT tax + 2% TBID tax) with every booking. TBID, is placed on lodging, retail, restaurant and recreation businesses in North Lake Tahoe to raise money for visitor services, business support and advocacy, economic development, tourism mitigation and transportation services.

Wonderful Stay
My wife and I came up here for a romantic getaway, and Moondance did not disappoint. It is great for a couple, and the extra bedroom would have been great if we wanted company on our trip. Highly recommended, this was a wonderful stay!

“Let me start by saying this place surpassed my expectations! We enjoyed our stay so much we hardly left the house. Absolutely gorgeous views, we have zero complaints! The bed was super comfy, spa was perfect temp, our dog absolutely loved the front deck, as did we! 3 miles from everything you'd need. Whether it's the lake, a grocery store, or hiking trails. 10/10 would recommend!”

Awesome Location with View of Lake Tahoe
This cabin has an awesome location, between Carnelian Bay and Tahoe City, with a great view of the lake. We enjoyed using the hot tub, as well as sitting on the deck facing the lake. The kitchen, while old, had everything we needed for breakfast in the morning and we made use of the charcoal grill for dinner. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable, and quite large! There are multiple sleeping options so it would be good for a family too. The living room was a nice large size and the wifi was good for a couple days of work. Overall we had a relaxing stay, I could see us coming back here again.
