Dog-Friendly - Creekside (Truckee River)

The Silvercreek Chalet is a relaxing vacation rental home located by Silvercreek between Truckee and Squaw Valley just two miles from Squaw Valley Road.  This is a great location for the winter skiers with easy access on to Highway 89 (not over any bridges) and a great retreat the rest of the year with a large deck by the Creek and sunroom.  The Chalet is down a long driveway off Highway 89 so you can hear very little road noise but can very quickly be on the slopes.  As you enter the home there is a mudroom and then to the left a half bathroom and washer and dryer.

The home has an open plan with a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and cozy living room with gas fireplace.  There is a sunroom off the living space that is great for relaxing in winter and summer.  Downstairs there is a bedroom with two twin beds.  Upstairs there is two more bedrooms and a den.  One bedroom has a queen bed, the den has a full bed but lots of glass so it can get a little chilly in winter.  There is a shared bathroom with a bathtub and shower on this level.  The master bedroom has a king bed, relaxing lounges and a master bathroom with a shower and a tub.

This is a dog-friendly house but in order to bring a dog, you must pay a $70 dog fee per dog, 2 dog maximum.  If you bring a dog without paying the dog fee, you will be subject to a fine and are in breach of contract which could result in being asked to leave the property.

Bedroom 1: King Bed

Spacious and comfy house ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
We have just stayed in this house for 5 nights. It is very spacious house with lots of natural lights. We loved the deck with the hot tub and the winter garden room. I personally loved lots of books! Found one that I didn't finish before and had quite time reading in the mornings. By the way, one morning we had a Discovery moment when three coyotes came out of the forest and passed by the house. Kids were thrilled to see them so close.Couple of things that we would recommend to do. The house a bit dated, so it would be great if the owners replaced felled off tile in the bathroom upstairs. And the internet was very slow. I had to work couple of days from the house, so was a little disappointed with it. Other then that, it's a great house to stay, close to everything and nice view of the forest and the creek. Would love to come here again during summer. Thank you!

This Place made my Wife's 30th Birthday one to never forget. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
We stayed here from July 13th to the 17th and had an amazing time, location was perfect and had everything we needed for a nice mini vacation. The pictures do not do this place justice, it was such a great location and the river with private beach access was great as the weather was in the mid 80's and perfect for a nice dip. The rooms were very spacious and clean as advertised, kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need and there was a propane BBQ on the deck. We had our 3 dogs with us and they loved jumping in the river during the day and we could spend hours down there was so much fun. The only issue we had during our stay was that the new electric water heater had somehow got turned off so we called the Property Manager and they had someone out within a couple hours to fix it (on a Saturday) . The owner even came out and asked us if everything was fixed with water heater which we thought was very nice. We have stayed in both South and North lake Tahoe many times in the last 5 years and this cabin has to be one of the best if not the best ones as far as location and accomidations. We are already planning for another trip to Tahoe and this cabin is at the top of our list for lodging. Thanks Again
