Hot Tub - Mountain Home

The "Los Osos" Mountain Home is the perfect North Lake Tahoe vacation rental getaway spot for families and friends. Enjoy the matchless surroundings of Lake Tahoe in this warm and comfortable mountain vacation home with four bedrooms and over 1900 square feet of spacious living and a hot tub for your long-awaited, well-deserved vacation. It is located in a quiet residential area, with forest lands as your backyard for as far as you can see. In the cities, we call this a ‘Green Belt'. On the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, we call it ‘Heaven'! You can put on your boots or snowshoes and just head out the back door for a hike! If downhill skiing is more your thing Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and Northstar ski areas are all less than 25 minutes drive away. Important, this property does not have air conditioning.  Air conditioners are extremely unusual in North Lake Tahoe.

There's a big beautiful rock fireplace in each of the two separate living rooms, giving everyone an easy and comfortable place to relax after a day at the beach, water skiing, or a day on the slopes, snow skiing or snowboarding. The ground level living room offers big comfortable couches, a TV and DVD, games, and books. The 2nd level features a great room, including a well-equipped open kitchen with a bar for casual breakfast and lunch meals, a large dining area, and the 2nd warm and comfortable living room with a gas fireplace, television and DVD.

The deck opens right off the dining area, offering plenty of room for outdoor dining and socializing. You can sit back and breathe in the clean mountain air while enjoying peeks of beautiful Lake Tahoe through the lush evergreen trees. The master suite is on the same level as the kitchen and great room. It has a King bed and TV with cable and a private bathroom with a tub and shower. On the ground level is a wonderful room with Queen bed and TV with cable. It is perfect for 2 families are sharing the home. The ground level bath also has a tub and shower.
The home is centrally located l6 miles east of Tahoe City and 2 miles west of Kings Beach in the private Agate Bay neighborhood. Fine dining is nearby at Garwoods or you can enjoy casual dining at CB's Pizza. There are many other excellent options as well, including a great coffeehouse.
Kayaks can be rented in the summer. World class hiking, mountain biking, and rafting are nearby in the summer. In the winter, Northstar, Squaw Valley, and Alpine Meadows are less than 15 miles away for downhill and cross country skiing and for snowboarding.
The State of Nevada is a short 10 minutes away, offering restaurants, casinos, and gambling, as well as still more snow sports at Incline Village.
This is a dog-friendly house but in order to bring a dog, you must pay a $70 dog fee per dog, 2 dog maximum. If you bring a dog without paying the dog fee, you will be subject to a fine and are in breach of contract which could result in being asked to leave the property.

On March 11th 2022, the county of Placer implemented a new Short Term Rental Ordinance which is very important for guests to abide by. Fines range from $1,500- 5,000 and can be issued to guests who are not in compliance. A full list of rules is attached as a photo in this listing. Some Highlights include:
   •Quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am. No noise shall be heard across property lines. No outdoor speakers or amplified sound are to be used at any time.
   •Dogs must be leashed at all times when outside of a property and all pet waste needs to be picked up.
   •Parking is limited to the following number of spaces: 2

Additional Fees include cleaning fee, administration fee, and local Transient Occupancy Tax. Check out time is 10 AM.

1. 2021 Update: Due to Extreme Fire Danger – The use of ANY outdoor firepit or fireplace is strictly prohibited at any of our rental properties. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our community safe from wildfires.
2.As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
3.By local laws we have to charge a 12% occupancy tax (10% TOT tax + 2% TBID tax) with every booking. TBID, is placed on lodging, retail, restaurant and recreation businesses in North Lake Tahoe to raise money for visitor services, business support and advocacy, economic development, tourism mitigation and transportation services.

Great house
We loved this house. We were two families each with a dog. It is difficult to find a house that suits these needs that is great value. The upstairs and downstairs living rooms create a great environment for the kids to hang out separately. Plenty of space and big deck to enjoy. Would definitely come back again!

verall, it was a delightful stay and strongly recommend it for a fun vacation close to the lake!
We spent a weekend in Tahoe with a group of 10 and it was the PERFECT size! The September weather and location of the cabin were great, so the lack of air conditioning was not an issue. The kitchen is also fully stocked with cooking supplies (the cabin is only a few minutes from a Safeway, so we were able to purchase groceries and cook/grill a full feast for 10!) The driveway was a tight squeeze for one SUV and three sudans, but there's plenty of street parking. Just a warning - if the dishwasher/kitchen sink and washing machine are being used, there may not be hot water for the shower! Overall, it was a delightful stay and strongly recommend it for a fun vacation close to the lake!

We had a wonderful holiday spent at this super accommodating home. We all enjoyed the hot tub, hosting family dinners in the kitchen & dining room, and relaxing in either of the two living rooms. The views were goergeous and the neighborhood was cute too. Would highly recommend this home.

It was nice that the upstairs bathroom had hallway access, since we were concerned that 2 bathrooms would be difficult with so many people. The neighborhood was super quiet, and we were only a short drive away from King's Beach. The hot tub was a great bonus! Really enjoyed our stay.”

“We had an amazing time! The cabin did not disappoint at all the bedrooms were very comfortable and we made great use kitchen/dining room/deck for dinners. The only down size was we could not use the fire place because it was a bit difficult to figure out. The hot water was an issue hence some of us had cold shower. Over all Jill was available whenever we had any questions.”
